The site currently supports these notification apps

• Notify-my-Android surprisingly for Android
• Pushalot for Windows phone 7 and 8

• Pushbullet for Mac, Windows, iOS, Android. *

* Pushbullet also supports Windows phone, Ubuntu and Blackberry via 3rd party apps

Regarding which notifier to choose - Prowl and Notify My Android are well tested, having been used by most site users for the last year to 18 months. The other apps are newer and are not yet fully tested, though personally I particularly like the look of Pushbullet with all of it's notification options... Note I cannot really test the Windows phone apps so if you use one of those, please get in touch and let me know how it works!

I do recommend spending the $3 or whatever on one of the instant notification apps. Instant notifications generally arrive within a second or two. Emails can be as quick but can also be a lot slower, and obviously seconds count with many of these notifications!
